The Ferrari F40 is a sports car produced between 1987 and 1998, whose heir was the F50. Born to celebrate the first forty years of sporting activity of the Modena car manufacturer, the "F40" was premiered to the press at the civic center of Maranello, on July 21, 1987, by Enzo Ferrari, Leonardo Fioravanti and Nicola Materazzi. In the following month of September it was exposed to the public during the Frankfurt motor show.Among other special features, the car has been the first road car in Ferrari history to be built with various composite materials such as kevlar for the frame, Carbon fiber, glass fibers for the body, aeronautical resins for tanks and Plexiglas for the side windows. At the time of its presentation, it was the fastest road car ever built with its 324 km/h declared (often significantly exceeded in various tests). This version is matt black, with double color for wheels: chrome and black.
